Once the results have been reviewed by the doctor, we can prescribe the appropriate treatment if needed. We cannot start treatment without a positive test result.

If you want to start with birth control pills, birth control rings or birth control patches, your doctor needs to know your blood pressure. You can check this with a home meter, or get it measured at the nearest pharmacy or health center. If you have already started treatment with contraception and just want to renew your prescription, your doctor needs to know that your blood pressure has been checked before and will ask you about this. There are also options that one can take without checking blood pressure first, such as mini-pills or gestagen pills. If in doubt then you can simply ask our doctor on secure chat, who will be happy to guide you in your choice.

Yes, if you have taken a contraceptive in the past, you will be able to renew your prescription immediately with our doctors. Your doctor may ask you a few questions to make sure you're using the right contraception and don't have side effects.

Digital consultation lends itself to a number of simpler issues, but cannot be used for everything. If you think a physical examination or tests are needed, we recommend a home visit. The advantage of our service, is that we offer both home visits and digital consultations, leaving the choice up to you. If in doubt, you can start with a digital consultation. The doctor will be able to guide you further, and if a home visit is needed, the cost of the digital consultation will be offset. Digital consultation is also suitable as a follow-up after a home visit.

In a digital consultation, we ask that you limit yourself to one issue. If you bring up several, the doctor may need to select one to focus on during the consultation. If you have multiple issues that are complex or time-consuming, we recommend seeing a doctor in person, for example by booking a home visit.
