Yes, we can, but the doctor needs to make some assessments. Treatment for eye catarrh is directed at the cause, i.e. whether it is a virus or bacteria. If a bacterial infection is suspected, one will be treated with antibiotics in the form of eye drops, eye ointment or both. Your doctor may also offer a so-called “wait and see” prescription as many cases are caused by viruses and are self-limiting.

Eye cataracts or eye inflammation can be caused by a viral infection or it can be a bacterial infection.

Children with eye cataracts will often have the feeling that “something is on the eye”. As a rule, it passes on its own within 1-2 weeks.

Digital consultation lends itself to a number of simpler issues, but cannot be used for everything. If you think a physical examination or tests are needed, we recommend a home visit. The advantage of our service, is that we offer both home visits and digital consultations, leaving the choice up to you. If in doubt, you can start with a digital consultation. The doctor will be able to guide you further, and if a home visit is needed, the cost of the digital consultation will be offset. Digital consultation is also suitable as a follow-up after a home visit.

In a digital consultation, we ask that you limit yourself to one issue. If you bring up several, the doctor may need to select one to focus on during the consultation. If you have multiple issues that are complex or time-consuming, we recommend seeing a doctor in person, for example by booking a home visit.

Digital consultations allow the doctor to work more efficiently, enabling you to have a consultation wherever you are. Maybe you also dare to record things on chat or phone that are embarrassing face-to-face. In some cases, the doctor will recommend the use of phone or video, or ask for a photo. Using both text, audio, image and video enables you and your doctor to communicate naturally based on the problem. When the doctor answers you, you will receive an SMS. It allows you to do other things while you wait. Effective for the doctor, and comfortable for you.
